How to Promote a YouTube Video

How to promote a YouTube video can be a difficult task. Here are some tips to get your video rockin’.

1) Backlinks

You want backlinks to the video. This will help immensely on your video’s ranking on YouTube, Google and Bing’s search results.

Places to get backlinks:

  • Squidoo.com
  • Facebook.com
  • Twitter.com
  • Free one way directories
  • Set up a blogger.com account and link to the video.
  • Do the same with BlogSpot.

There are many other places to get backlinks such as forums, etc. The more quality links you have pointing to your YouTube video, the higher you’ll rank.

2) Networking

Comment on other’s videos, subscribe, like. The problem with this method is it takes swallows up half your day, but engage in a little of it. Maybe a a couple hours a week.

3) Purchase advertising

You can buy YouTube views through YouTube Adwords marketing, through Bing ads. The trouble is that they’re SPENDY.

You can also try the second-tier networks such as Adengage.com, Findology.com, but these are fraught with click fraud. I do no recommend using them at all. I have been burned way too many times.

But I do recommend buying YouTube views (traffic to your video). Having more views helps your video stand out from the masses. It also increases your ranking on YouTube, Google,  Yahoo and Bing.

Think of it this way. Let’s say you have two companies selling the same product. Both have great videos, great websites, comparable pricing.  You do a YouTube search… One video has 2,400 views, the other has 200,000 views.

Who are you going to take more seriously? Popularity psychology plays a huge, huge factor in purchasing decisions. I’m going with the more popular product.

Same with music videos. There are so many great songs on YouTube. I spend days hunting down music. But I am drawn to videos with more views and likes. Period.

People love what’s popular. So do I.

You can get cheap views to inflate your popularity psychology.

I recommend only one service. http://www.utubeplays.com.

Here you can buy views and likes.  I’d start with the newbie package. 10,000 views, 100 YouTube likes.

This site is extremely affordable.

There are other YouTube view services, but you need to watch out. They’re run by overseas companies and they rarely delivery as promised. Some just flat out take your money.

I’ve found it much better to work one-on-one with an ACTUAL human being instead of stock auto-replies.

The site is managed by Kay Orr and she’s always on it. She’s always delivered. Never once has she not. She’s very personable and seems to work around the clock.

How to promote a YouTube video? There you have it.

Three simple steps.

Start with buying YouTube views and likes and then move on to backlinks. Lastly do the networking.
